POSITION:  COORDINATOR, STAFF TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT         

 

LOCATION:  20 Spadina Road                

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

Community College Diploma in Business Administration, Training & Development, Human Resources or related discipline; four to six years administrative experience, including coordinating, scheduling and supporting activities and projects; advanced computer skills to use and/or produce schedules, minutes, reports, databases, forms and presentations; advanced MS Word and Excel skills and excellent communication skills essential; knowledge of Learning Management Systems and/or PeopleSoft an asset.  CTDP an asset.

 

JOB SUMMARY: 

 

Coordinates and supports the Association's staff training and development initiatives.  Administers the Learning Management System ('LMS') to coordinate staff registration, notifications and tracking.  Responsible for logistics and administration related to staff training.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Under the direction of the Manager, Staff Training & Development, responsibilities include:

  • Administration of LMS (online database) to coordinate training registration, notifications and to track and report on staff training activities.
  • Work with LMS vendor technical support to troubleshoot solutions and improve system functionality.
  • Provide LMS end-user support to all staff.
  • Development and production of internal staff training schedule.
  • Coordination of staff training events including logistics.
  • Communication with staff, vendors and suppliers; office administration.

 

HOURS OF WORK: 7.5 hours per day

 

STARTING DATE: Immediately

POSITION:  MANAGER - DISABILITY MANAGEMENT

(TEMPORARY CONTRACT UP TO ONE YEAR)  

                   

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

University Degree or Community College Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent.  Experience in developing and implementing attendance management programs.  Prior supervisory experience is essential.  Preference will be given to candidates with CHRP designation and post graduate certificate or course work in disability management. 

 

JOB SUMMARY: 

 

The Manager - Disability Management provides support and direction to supervisors and managers across the Association in matters pertaining to Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) claims, sick leave & attendance management and long term disaiblity (LTD) management.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position is responisble for administration of the Association's disability management program by:

 

  • Assisting supervisors and managers with investigating & reporting WSIB Claims.
  • Corresponding with employees and health care practitioners to substantiate absence from work and entitlement to sick leave benefits.
  • Ensuring early and safe return to work for both occupational (WSIIB) and non-occupational illnesses/injuries.
  • Providing training, support and direction to managers and supervisors on WSIB and attendance management.
  • Identifying patterns and trends in attendance, and implementing strategies to reduce workplace absenteeism.
  • Liaising with LTD insurance company and workplace parties to plan return to work.
  • Updating and maintaining information in relevant data bases.
  • Preparing reports to all levels of the Association with regards to attendance and workplace injury claims.
  • Participating in other Human Resources initiatives as assigned.

 

HOURS OF WORK:   37.5 hours per week 

STARTING DATE:  Immediately

SALARY:  Commensurate with experience
